Adium vs Nimbuzz
When i decided that my team should use Gmail as our default chat client, i started to confuse.
I should open 3 apps simultaniously, YM, MSN and Gmail.
So, why don't i start finding best Multiple IM Client that suitable for me on my MAC.
During my search, i found 2 best IM out there, Adium and Nimbuzz.
I have installed both and it seems i will use Adium.
Here is how i found Adium better.
1. Design
When it come to design, both Adium and Nimbuzz look soo nice. It seems both is user friendly and both got their own approach on displaying things.
So, my score here is both even. 9 for Nimbuzz and 9 for Adium
2. Configuration
Nimbuzz required us to create an account first to connect to our prefered IM. I need to create an account, verified email at Nimbuzz, Login, and add my prefered IM.
While Adium, we just choose our preferable account, insert username, password and done. Very simple.
So, for number 2, it goes to Adium. 9 for Adium and 6 for Nimbuzz
3. Multiple Account for same IM. Eg: 2 account for Gmail
When it comes to multiple account for the same IM, Adium can handle it charmly.
While Nimbuzz can't allow that. If i am wrong, please show me how in comment.
So, for number three, it goes to Adium again.
9 for Adium and 5 for Nimbuzz
4. Speed
I have added my MSN account in my YM account.
So, i try to login MSN in my Adium, and then YM in my Nimbuzz. So, when i chat from Adium to Nimbuzz, seems it received instantly. But not when i chat from Nimbuzz(YM) to Adium(MSN). I need to wait more than 5 secs.
To debug what's wrong, now i try to login using my YM client and chat to Adium. Yahaaa, it directly sent. So, i think it's a problem in Nimbuzz side. Believe me, Adium is increadible fast. It's super fast.
9 for Adium and 6 for Nimbuzz
5. Still Typing option
When i type in my Yahoo client, Adium show me that my Yahoo Acc still typing. This is a great feature.
So that i know somebody is typing, then i should wait.
9 for Adium and 5 for Nimbuzz
Based on this scoring, i vote for Adium for your multiple IM Client.
